The verdict is in - I loved working on leather. After adjusting the heat to a low setting, the surface was very smooth and the pen glided nicely. I did go over each leaf two or three times, which was preferable to having the pen sink I to the leather if it had been too hot. Another tip for the leaves, start at the rounded part near the stem and ease up in pressure towards the tip. Then it will be easier to burn a “pointed” leaf tip as opposed to rounded nub. I’m including a photo to show how the pen sunk in to the leather when it was too hot.

Since this is our first time burning on leather, hang on and work on your earrings for now. They are so darn fun to do. I'm going to post my wrist wrap video in the coming days and will have some tips for you. Cheers!

Ladies, this was just what I needed today, and I hope you find it equally relaxing. This was my first time doing earrings, and I’m HOOKED! I seriously cannot wait to do more. Next time with watercolour I think. If you decide to add colour this round definitely let me know.

Hello everyone, I’m going to have this month’s box available next Monday the 19th. I’m trying to cram in as much work on custom orders this week as I can, while my husband is home for spring break and can help with the kids. With yesterday’s provincial announcement that kids are not going back to in-person school next week, we are, ahem, readjusting our family schedules this week. Welcome to the Ontario yo-yo gong show! Please drop a thumb’s up to let me know you’ve read this message. Kind regards, Jenn P.S. I’ve been excited about this one for some time. Get your smallest nib ready - we’re burning JEWELRY!
